Q & A

FAQ

Q

Is there appropriate clothing for blueberry picking?

The gardens get very hot in the summer, so we recommend bringing hats, towels, and sun protection items to prevent heatstroke. We also recommend wearing a thin long-sleeved shirt if you are concerned about sunburn or insect bites. The gardens are covered with weed control sheets, so you can wear sandals, but please refrain from entering the gardens wearing heels or sandals with sharp heels as they may tear the sheets.

Q

Can I bring luggage when picking blueberries?

Please refrain from bringing any items into the blueberry picking area as they may come into contact with the berries and branches.

Please leave your luggage in your car or use the luggage storage area within the park.

To protect the blueberries, please refrain from using parasols or umbrellas in the garden.

Q

Do you have the necessary tools?

All the tools you need for harvesting are provided at the farm, so you can come empty-handed.

Q

Can I smoke or drink alcohol?

Smoking is prohibited on the premises (farm and cafe).

Drinking or being under the influence of alcohol is also prohibited.

Q

Can I bring in food and drinks?

Please refrain from bringing packed lunches or sweets into the park. (Water, tea, and other fluids are permitted.)

For food and drinks, please use the outdoor cafe located within the park.

Q

Can I bring pets?

Please refrain from bringing pets into the picking area. However, assistance dogs (guide dogs, hearing dogs, service dogs, etc.) are excluded. Outside the picking area, please keep your pet on a leash or hold it in your arms to avoid causing inconvenience to other customers.

Q

Is there a parking lot?

There is free parking space for about 10 cars. If it is full, please use the parking lot in front of Kawayu Station.

We will not take any responsibility for theft in the parking lot or within the park, so please take care of your belongings.

Please.

Q

Are wheelchairs and strollers accessible?

The picking area is fully covered with sheeting so it is wheelchair and stroller accessible.

The pathways outside the picking area are not barrier-free due to the slope of the terrain.

Farm staff will be on hand to help, but please note that you will need the support of an accompanying person.

Q

Are there toilets?

Available in the container house and on the farm.

Q

What happens if it rains?

We will be open as usual even if it rains. Please refrain from using umbrellas as they may damage the fruit. Please bring a raincoat or similar.
